This golden era cemented Egypt’s reputation for producing the world's most coveted tobacco-renowned not only for its quality but also for its Ambergris scent. Sugarcane Rum - Terroir
The evening air carries the green freshness of sugarcane fields, mingled with a faint trace of smoke from nearby distilleries. Walking through the fields, you feel the warmth of the sun still radiating from the soil, the scent of crushed cane blending with the subtle tang of fermentation. You are in the midst of HOGO.
Derived from Creole, HOGO means a strong yet desirable flavor and scent. Hogo is defined by terroir, the rich volcanic soil of the tropics and each distiller's distinct process to create their unique Hogo hailing back to 1650.
HOGO Agricole by WESTLANDS captures this concept in a fragrance that evokes sipping a glass of Agricole rum while standing amidst the verdant fields on the estate where it was born. The opening is lively and green, a bright burst of citrus and freshly crushed leaves that recalls sugarcane swaying in the breeze. A heart of subtle spice and soft, fruity nuances speaks to the dynamic complexity of the rum itself, while grounding notes of Vetiver and Oakmoss subtly aged without destroying the fresh pressed sugarcane notes.

We prioritize minimizing our use of plastic and actively seek alternatives by incorporating recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable materials in our packaging. Our goal is to craft scents to transport but also leave a lighter footprint on the planet, making sure those who wander can continue to do so.

Once we have our inspired concept down, we start with drops then individual molecules blending, macerating, building, and iterating until we achieve our goal.
From the mycelium inserts to the hand made leather sleeves for our 10ML bottles WESTLANDS packaging is thoughtfully designed.
These sleeves are made in Madison WI and hand-cut, hand-stitched and stamped to accompany your craft fragrance on any journey.
